“Jesus replied, ‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’”
Matthew 22:37 (NLT)
Who do you care for most in the world? Your mom, dad, child, or husband? There is usually that one friend, insane cousin or co-worker who has weaseled their way into your heart. Why are they so important? Is it the amount of time you’ve spent with them, or perhaps the quality of that time? Perhaps it’s the hard times that have bonded you together.
Regardless of how these special relationships come to be, they take TIME.
What about when it comes to God? Do you prioritize your time to know Him intimately? To know Him so well, His Word is ingrained on your life to the extent that everything that you are—our heart, soul, and mind—is distinguishable as His?
Though writing is a joy, we should never forget God in our busy everyday lives. Ask him to ingrain himself into your life so your writing will reflect Him. If we truly love God, we will love Him with all our hearts, souls, and minds.
PRAYER: God, thank You for looking down from heaven and seeing me. For caring and wanting me. Help me understand You to my fullest capacity so I may have Your words ingrained into the essence of who I am. Help me to love You more and share Your love with others through my spoken and written words. In Jesus name, amen.
